Arizona Wedding-Boudoir-High School Senior-Photographer » I'm Stacy Kokes, and I photograph love...

As we begin a new year, I can’t help but reflect on 2013. It was a beautiful year full of transition, growth and change both personally and professionally. We spent the first part of 2013 pursuing parenthood through the blessing of adoption. Those of you who have followed our journey know that we did not have an easy road. In the midst of failed adoptions, I found joy when I was behind my lens. Seeing and capturing my client’s most joyful moments reminded me that life is beautiful and brought hope to my heart when it was broken. Many of you poured out encouragement and kind words to help us to keep going when times got tough, and for that we can’t thank you enough.

Then in July, we were blessed with our beautiful daughter, Bella, and you rejoiced with us! Having the opportunity to be a full time mom and a full time photographer was such a new and exciting challenge for me. Being a mom has changed the way I look at photography. I appreciate it even more knowing that moments pass so quickly but a photo keeps that moment alive. As I reflect on this year, I feel grateful. Grateful that I have a business where I can be a mom first and a photographer second. Grateful that I have met so many wonderful people along the way that care not only about my work, but about me. Grateful that I get to look forward to another year as SKP!

Thank you to ALL of my 2013 clients. You have been a blessing to me! Happy 2014 :) xoxo

Kendra looked absolutely regal in her unique ruffled wedding gown as she walked towards her groom. Dave stood tall, looking sharp as a man can get in his all black suit and bow tie. With his hands behind his back, his heart raced faster with each step Kendra took towards him, each one louder than the next. She touched his hand and he turned around to see his glamourous bride all dressed in white. Kendra wiped away tears as they embraced. This is the moment they had been waiting for. Their wedding day was finally here and they were more than ready. In one of the most unique venues I’ve ever seen, the couple said their “I dos”. And it was incredible to witness! Thank you to Charity Maurer for second shooting with me.

The entire day was so perfectly “them” and it was truly a joy to be a part of. Thank you Kendra and Dave for allowing me to capture it. It was a blessing <3.
