A Quarter of a Century…

Jun 16, 2010

Last week Thursday I celebrated my 25th birthday. Time goes by fast…doesn’t it? I can’t believe that it’s been almost 7 years since I first moved out to Arizona, 3 years since I graduated college, 2 years since I married the love of my life, and 1 year since I launched Stacy Lynn Photography. If you would have told me when I first moved out here 7 years ago that my life would be like it is today, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. I had plans of my own, but God continued to close doors on those things that weren’t His will for me, and open up the doors to the things He wanted me to pursue. Sometimes the “open door” wasn’t enough…I needed neon signs and lights saying “This Way! This Way!”. I get asked all the time things like “What brought you out to Arizona? What brought you to Praxis Church? How did you get into photography?” My simplest answer is “God lead me there”. I really hope that you don’t read that as a cliche answer, because that really is the only explanation I have. I really didn’t know why or how ASU was on my heart 7 years ago when I was deciding where to go to college. I just knew it was right for me. And looking back, God was setting this whole plan for my life in motion. My freshmen year I met my roommate Alicia who eventually brought me to Praxis Church which is where I met my husband as well as my photographer friend Kacey who inspired me to get into the photography business. If that’s not a God thing, I don’t know what is! This life has been such an amazing blessing and I thank God for 25 wonderful years I’ve been given so far. I can’t wait to see what He has in store for the next 75+ years ahead :).

Much love!

Stacy Lynn
