Coffee Talk Monday #23

Aging. It happens to the best of us. On a typical I don’t really think of myself as old. In fact I feel like it was just yesterday that I graduated from high school. But every once in a while there are those moments when I realize that I indeed did NOT just graduate high school. Like when I realize that my oldest niece is going to be old enough to drive a car in just a couple of months. Or when people ask how long I’ve lived in AZ and I respond with “well I moved out here for college…8 years ago!” Or like this weekend when I thought to myself “It hasn’t been that long since I’ve been a dancer, surely I can still do the splits. Wrong! Let me tell you, this was a blow to my ego people. I mean it’s the splits. Something that I used to do without even breaking a sweat. So being the stubborn girl that I am, I have made it a priority to show my body that I’m still as young as I feel and I WILL be able to do the splits again soon. I’ll keep you posted…

Let me take a moment to explain the irony of gluten free bread. Think of gf bread as regular bread’s nerdy, wimpy cousin. The slices are way smaller than regular bread and there are probably only 3/4 the number of slices. Yet somehow they charge almost TWICE as much for it. What the what??? I guess it’s because people like me are desperate enough to pay for it. With a husband who eats an average of three sandwiches a day, I’m going to have to get another job soon!

Anyone else hooked on The Bacherlorette? The truth is I don’t even really like it that much, but I can’t stop watching. I’m too invested now :). And you know what? I even got Joe hooked on it this season. SO I hate to leave y’all too early  but it’s starting in T-5 minutes and since we don’t have DVR we have to watch it live. See you next week!

Oh and I can’t wait to head back to Wisconsin next week to see my family, including these two cuties. Aren’t they just the sweetest??
