Coffee Talk Monday #56

Feb 13, 2012

I want to love the store Ross so badly, but I just can’t. I always go into my Ross visits so hopeful that I will find a hidden gem at a great price but I usually just walk away disappointed :(. On the other hand, take me to a TJ Maxx and I’m in ‘good deals’ heaven!

There I was, standing in the refrigerated dairy section picking up my new favorite yogurt (thanks for the recommendation Charity) when an older lady approached me. She started asking me about the yogurt which I of course told her was AMAZING. Next thing I knew, she was telling me about stocks and recommending how to invest our money. I kindly listened and thanked her for her advice, all while wondering how long this would go on. Gotta love grocery store conversations!

Joe gave me one of the best compliments ever. I often make up random songs narrating what I’m doing throughout the day. Apparently they are pretty catchy because Joe ends up singing them and told me “Baby, you’re my favorite band!”. THIS is how you know we’re meant to be :).

My dog Hope is so weird. She’s been going through this phase lately where she picks up a few pieces of her food, carries them over to the shag rug in the living room, eats them there and repeats that until her food is gone. What a goof!

Next Monday we’ll be in Vegas for the annual WPPI photography conference. I.Can.Not.WAIT! 4 days in a fancy hotel with the man I love surrounded by my amazing industry friends. Oh my goodness. It’s going to be EPIC! Be sure to check out my update next week.

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s day tomorrow. Joe + I will be celebrating on Friday over a delicious True Food dinner followed by The Vow. I am looking forward to that!

Happy Monday! xo stacy

Ooo, I totally want to see The Vow. Tom and I are celebrating on Friday too, after our Swing dancing class (you know it!) I really like Valentine’s Day – such a bright spot in an otherwise long winter stretch.

  2. Regan says:

I am *so* with you on Ross. Every time I go to that store I am disappointed and vow to never return. Speaking of vows, I saw The Vow yesterday with my hubby as well! Loved it!!
