I placed the order and let out a shriek of excitement. I was one step closer to having my first canvas cluster on my office wall. I have loved the look of canvas wraps since before I was even a photographer and have since been itching to display my work in such a beautiful format. I spent hours mulling over layouts and photos and was finally ready to press “send order”. I was in Wisconsin when I finally placed the order and wasn’t back to AZ yet when they arrived. Had I been, I most certainly would have hugged the UPS guy upon their arrival. Joe used this situation to tease me telling me that he was going to open them up to get a sneak peek before I did. Thankfully he knew better than to actually do that! When I arrived back home I could barely contain my excitement. I was like a kid on Christmas morning waiting to rip into my presents. I started with the big one first and I’m pretty sure I let out an audible gasp. It was in that moment, that I truly felt like an artist. Seeing my work on the textured canvas gave me a new appreciation for what it is I have the honor of doing. The way the colors and pixels combine together to tell a story of love, laughter and life had me taken aback. I am blessed by each person that steps in front of my camera and these canvases reminded me of that.
